DMK president M.K. Stalin delivered a scathing critique of the ruling AIADMK administration, describing it as an unfeeling government utterly devoid of concern for provincial autonomy and agrarian welfare. Stalin asserted that Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami's government cared exclusively about preserving political survival rather than safeguarding the vital interests of Tamil Nadu's farming populace. He stated that the regime's total surrender to the Union government's contentious agricultural enactments represented an unforgivable abdication of constitutional duty.
Stalin observed that the central farm laws dismantle essential regulatory frameworks that protect peasant cultivators from predatory corporate procurement practices. Despite widespread alarm across farming communities and regional political parties, the state administration chose subservient acquiescence over defensive action. Stalin pointed out that by refusing to assert Tamil Nadu's constitutional jurisdiction over agriculture, the ruling party facilitated the systematic erosion of provincial self-governance.
Stalin reaffirmed that the DMK will persistently resist the destructive legislations through public protests, legal challenges, and legislative mechanisms. He emphasized that the self-respect of Tamil cultivators cannot be mortgaged to central authoritarianism, promising relentless struggle until agricultural rights are restored.
