#GutkaScam-ல் நீதி நிலைநாட்டப்பட வேண்டும்!
DMK president M.K. Stalin welcomed the Madras High Court order granting an interim stay against the second breach of privilege notice issued against DMK legislators for displaying banned gutkha sachets in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. Stalin recalled that DMK members had produced the contraband on the assembly floor solely to expose thriving illegal sales and demonstrate the state government's failure to enforce statutory prohibitions. He noted that the court's intervention exposed the AIADMK administration's vindictive abuse of legislative privilege.
Stalin observed that rather than prosecuting ministers and senior police officers indicted in the multi-crore Gutkha bribery payoff diaries, the ruling regime repeatedly targeted opposition lawmakers who exposed the illicit trade. He pointed out that investigative journalism and police seizures continually proved that dangerous banned substances were being freely distributed near educational institutions across Tamil Nadu. Stalin asserted that parliamentary democracy is debased when legislative machinery is weaponized to shield corrupt officials while penalizing whistleblowers.
Stalin affirmed that the DMK will not be intimidated by retaliatory administrative proceedings. He pledged to pursue the Gutkha scam to its logical conclusion until all responsible corrupt officials face statutory accountability.
