#KerosenePrice
DMK president M.K. Stalin condemned the ruling AIADMK government for increasing the retail price of public distribution kerosene by one rupee and fifty paise per liter. He described the price hike as an unconscionable burden placed on impoverished working-class families who rely on subsidized kerosene for essential domestic cooking. Stalin pointed out that ordinary households, having lost regular livelihoods and purchasing power during prolonged pandemic restrictions, were being subjected to relentless administrative cruelty.
Stalin criticized Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami for failing to insulate vulnerable families from escalating living expenses. He argued that the state government should have absorbed the minor financial variation through budgetary subsidies rather than passing the burden onto economically distressed citizens. Stalin noted that while corporate tax burdens were consistently alleviated by ruling establishments, basic necessities for daily-wage workers, agricultural laborers, and marginal households faced continuous fiscal squeezing.
Demanding an immediate rollback of the price revision, Stalin insisted that the state administration restore previous subsidized rates without delay. He affirmed that the DMK will persistently fight against anti-poor policies and protect the economic welfare of underprivileged communities across Tamil Nadu.
