Paying heartfelt tribute to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Karma Veerar K. Kamaraj on his memorial day, DMK president M.K. Stalin honored the legendary statesman who dedicated his entire life to uplifting the poor and safeguarding the state's rights. Stalin recalled Kamaraj's transformative contributions to public education, including opening thousands of primary schools in rural villages and pioneering the free midday meal scheme, which enabled millions of impoverished children to attain literacy and social dignity.
Stalin noted that Kamaraj envisioned a prosperous Tamil Nadu where every citizen enjoyed access to food, healthcare, quality schooling, and economic opportunity without discrimination. He stressed that Kamaraj's egalitarian ideals of simplicity, unblemished administrative integrity, and dedicated public service remain an enduring beacon for democratic governance. Stalin warned that the current AIADMK regime had dismantled the foundational standards of public administration established by visionary leaders like Kamaraj, plunging the state into systemic debt and corruption.
Stalin pledged that the DMK regards the fulfillment of Kamaraj's vision as a solemn duty. He resolved to rebuild an inclusive, welfare-driven administration that guarantees equal opportunities for all sections of society.
