DMK president M.K. Stalin appealed to over eighty thousand Teacher Eligibility Test qualified candidates to suspend their ongoing agitation, assuring them that their legitimate demands for regular government employment would be fully addressed under an incoming DMK administration. Stalin highlighted the tragic plight of qualified educators who had cleared rigorous eligibility examinations as early as 2013, yet remained unemployed for seven consecutive years due to complete recruitment paralysis under the AIADMK regime.
Stalin expressed deep solidarity with protesting teachers led by activist Sabarimala, who had previously resigned her government teaching post in principled protest against the NEET examination system. He criticized the state government for leaving thousands of qualified educators in desperate financial destitution while keeping thousands of teaching vacancies unfilled in government schools. Stalin affirmed the DMK's commitment to grant lifetime validity for TET qualifying certificates and initiate a structured recruitment drive to absorb qualified candidates into school faculties.
Stalin urged the demonstrating teachers to protect their health and pause street protests. He reaffirmed that restoring dignity to the teaching fraternity will remain a foundational educational priority for the DMK.
