DMK president M.K. Stalin brushed aside police complaints registered against DMK functionaries and alliance leaders for conducting grassroots Makkal Sabha public gatherings across rural Tamil Nadu. Stalin explained that the AIADMK administration had cowardly cancelled officially scheduled Gandhi Jayanti Gram Sabha meetings solely out of fear that village communities would pass unanimous resolutions denouncing the Union government's three corporate-friendly farm laws. In response, rural citizens and farmers assembled spontaneously in informal people's assemblies.
Stalin asserted that the DMK stood steadfastly with farming communities in their righteous battle to defend agricultural sovereignty, regulated mandis, and guaranteed crop prices. He characterized criminal cases filed by the state police as completely trivial matters in comparison to the existential threat confronting millions of agrarian families. Stalin declared that just as dust is blown away by the wind, oppressive police cases would crumble before the overwhelming strength of unified popular resistance.
Stalin affirmed that neither government bans nor police intimidation could extinguish the democratic fury of Tamil Nadu's agrarian population. He resolved that the DMK will intensify protests until the farm laws are fully revoked.
