Paying heartfelt homage to heroic freedom fighter Tiruppur Kumaran on his birth anniversary, DMK president M.K. Stalin recalled the supreme sacrifice of the young patriot who held aloft the Indian tricolor even as he fell under brutal colonial police batons. Stalin honored Kumaran's iconic legacy as Kodi Katha Kumaran, emphasizing that his extraordinary courage symbolizes Tamil Nadu's proud tradition of unyielding resistance against imperial dominance and authoritarian oppression.
Stalin urged the people of Tamil Nadu to draw inspiration from Kumaran's immortal sacrifice and resolutely reject all contemporary forms of political, cultural, and economic subjugation. He criticized the ruling AIADMK government for surrendering state autonomy, linguistic pride, and democratic rights to central political masters simply to retain power. Stalin argued that true homage to freedom fighters lies in safeguarding the constitutional rights, federal dignity, and self-respect of the state's citizens against any outside encroachment.
Stalin called upon youth to keep the flame of patriotic sacrifice and democratic resistance alive in their hearts. He pledged that the DMK will always stand firm in protecting Tamil Nadu's constitutional rights, linguistic heritage, and democratic self-respect for all future generations.
