DMK president M.K. Stalin participated virtually in the Kanniyakumari district Mupperum Vizha celebrations, presenting traditional porkizhi gold cash awards to senior party veterans who dedicated their lives to building the Dravidian movement in the southernmost region of the state. Paying tribute to their steadfast loyalty and sacrifice through decades of political adversity, Stalin affirmed that the selflessness of frontline pioneers forms the bedrock of the DMK's organizational power and resilience.

In his keynote address, Stalin launched a scathing attack on the ruling AIADMK administration, alleging that corrupt leaders had shamelessly siphoned public funds even from emergency COVID-19 medical procurements, diagnostic test kits, and relief supplies. He asserted that an administration capable of exploiting a deadly global pandemic for illicit commercial gain had completely forfeited all moral authority to govern. Stalin emphasized that the grassroots struggle to unseat the corrupt regime had begun across Tamil Nadu.

Stalin urged Kanniyakumari party functionaries and booth agents to intensify voter mobilization across all coastal and rural constituencies. He expressed confidence that disciplined collective effort would secure complete victory in the upcoming 2021 assembly elections.
