DMK president M.K. Stalin demanded that Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami issue comprehensive white papers documenting industrial investment agreements, actual employment generation, and pandemic procurement expenditures. Stalin pointed out that Tamil Nadu was reeling under severe crisis, having recorded over ten thousand COVID-19 fatalities, twenty-four thousand pediatric infections, and an unprecedented public debt burden reaching 4.56 lakh crore rupees. He criticized the Chief Minister for making grandiose claims of signing massive foreign investment memorandums while ordinary citizens faced widespread unemployment and inflation.
Stalin asserted that the state administration was deliberately attempting to deceive the public with inflated industrial figures while failing to deliver ground-level economic recovery. He demanded transparent administrative accounting on how many signed investment projects had materialized into functional manufacturing facilities, and how many permanent local jobs had been provided to youth. Stalin also demanded complete financial disclosures regarding emergency health procurements, citing serious public allegations of corrupt contracting during the medical crisis.
Stalin emphasized that democratic governance requires complete accountability and fiscal transparency. He affirmed that the DMK would continue pressing for authentic data to expose state administrative failures.
