DMK president M.K. Stalin exposed the severe inequities of the NEET examination system, pointing out that out of eighty-nine government school students who scored over three hundred marks, only eight candidates were likely to secure medical college admissions due to steep cutoff inflation. Stalin dismantled the claim that simply qualifying in NEET ensures medical entry for disadvantaged candidates, noting that commercial coaching-driven score inflation creates an insurmountable barrier for rural students who lack financial resources for expensive private training academies.
Stalin criticized the AIADMK administration and Union authorities for systematically deceiving rural students and parents with superficial pass statistics. He highlighted that despite immense personal dedication and clearing the qualifying exam, rural youths are practically barred from medical seats because affluent candidates pay lakhs of rupees for repeated residential coaching. Stalin reiterated that enacting permanent statutory exemption from NEET remains the only genuine solution to restore fair educational opportunities and protect the medical dreams of rural aspirants.
Stalin pledged that an incoming DMK government will take decisive legislative and executive steps to abolish NEET in Tamil Nadu and restore school mark-based admissions.
