DMK president M.K. Stalin strongly criticized the ruling AIADMK government for presenting a feeble and compromised defense in the Supreme Court regarding the immediate implementation of OBC reservation in medical admissions. Stalin accused the AIADMK-BJP ruling alliance of actively conspiring to dilute social justice principles and undermine decades of hard-won reservation rights in Tamil Nadu. He challenged Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami to demonstrate genuine political courage by declaring that the AIADMK would terminate its alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party if OBC reservation was not implemented in the current academic year.

Stalin pointed out that while the DMK vigorously fought and secured favorable judicial orders from the Madras High Court, the central government continually used procedural delaying tactics before the apex court to avoid compliance. He criticized the state government for failing to strongly contest these union maneuvers, suggesting that state ministers were prioritizing their cabinet survival over backward class students' educational welfare. Stalin asserted that Tamil Nadu's social justice legacy cannot be bartered away for personal political convenience.

Stalin affirmed that the DMK will intensify its democratic mobilization against the betrayal of OBC rights and ensure absolute accountability.
