Editorial context

DMK president M.K. Stalin issued a resounding call to safeguard state rights and constitutional federalism on the occasion of Linguistic States Formation Day on November 1. Reflecting on India's historic reorganization along linguistic boundaries, Stalin emphasized that linguistic and regional diversity represents the true strength and pluralistic foundation of the Indian republic. He cautioned that aggressive centralizing policies and communal ideologies pursued by the Union government pose unprecedented threats to the constitutional autonomy, cultural heritage, and fiscal independence of non-Hindi speaking states.

Stalin urged political movements and citizens across all linguistic states to forge solid unity against forces seeking to enforce linguistic hegemony and administrative uniformity. He pointed out that the erosion of state taxation powers, interference in concurrent legislative subjects, and the imposition of uniform curricula systematically weaken regional democracy. Stalin affirmed that the Dravidian movement has historically spearheaded the defense of linguistic pride and federal democracy, inspiring states across India to assert their sovereign rights.

Stalin concluded by pledging that the DMK will lead the frontline struggle to restore federal balance, retrieve state subjects, and protect India's pluralist constitutional vision from majoritarian dilution.

This is an initiative of unofficial DMK and Dravidian Ideology supporter, a fan of Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna and Kalaignar — not affiliated with any official DMK party or persons.
