DMK president M.K. Stalin penned an inspiring letter to party cadres detailing the strategic significance of the ongoing Thamilagam Meetpom election campaign conferences and reviewing the major political battles waged on behalf of the people. Stalin pointed out that on critical public issues—including securing the 7.5 percent medical quota for government school students, averting hasty school reopenings, and demanding a statutory ban on addictive online gambling—the lethargic AIADMK government acted only after relentless pressure and agitation spearheaded by the DMK.
Stalin observed that the ruling regime repeatedly exposes its utter lack of administrative foresight, reacting sluggishly only when cornered by public indignation and organized democratic opposition. He stressed that having surrendered state autonomy, linguistic rights, and fiscal independence to central political masters, the AIADMK dispensation has completely forfeited its moral right to govern. Stalin called upon every party member to redouble their outreach efforts, communicate the DMK's positive governance agenda, and prepare every voting booth for victory.
Stalin concluded his epistle with an impassioned call to redeem Tamil Nadu from administrative decay, declaring that collective democratic resolve would usher in people's governance under the DMK in 2021.
