DMK president M.K. Stalin extended an open invitation to environmental activists, conservationists, civil society organizations, and district party secretaries to collaborate closely with the party's newly formed environmental wing, led by state secretary Karthikeya Sivasenapathy. Stalin articulated a forward-looking vision emphasizing that industrial growth and ecological preservation must progress as parallel, complementary lines rather than conflicting objectives. He underscored that sustainable development is critical to safeguarding Tamil Nadu's natural resources, water bodies, and coastal ecosystems for future generations.

Stalin emphasized that the DMK is the first major political party in the state to establish a dedicated environmental wing within its institutional organizational structure. He called upon grassroots activists, researchers, and climate experts to join hands with the party to formulate evidence-based environmental policies, counter deforestation, and resist environmentally destructive central projects. Stalin noted that climate resilience, renewable energy adoption, and scientific pollution management must form central pillars of modern regional governance.

The formation of the wing was widely welcomed by green activists, agricultural federations, and youth environmental groups. Stalin reiterated that the DMK remains committed to harmonizing sustainable economic expansion with environmental stewardship.
