DMK president M.K. Stalin pledged that the DMK will directly bear the entire medical college tuition expenses of government school students who obtained seats under the 7.5 percent reservation but cannot afford private college fees. Stalin highlighted the tragic plight of student Yuvanraj, who was forced to take up catering work to support his family despite qualifying for medical admission, as well as three female students facing identical hardships in Tiruvannamalai district. He challenged Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami's government to immediately allocate seats without financial obstacles, promising that if the state cannot help, the DMK will pay.

Stalin condemned the AIADMK administration for passing affirmative action legislation without establishing a dedicated financial aid mechanism to cover exorbitant private college fees. He argued that forcing meritorious students from impoverished backgrounds to abandon their medical aspirations due to poverty makes a mockery of social justice. Stalin declared that no aspiring doctor from a government school should have their future extinguished by economic deprivation while the state government watches passively.
