முன்னெச்சரிக்கை இல்லாததால் குறைந்த அளவு மழையைக் கூட தாங்க முடியாமல் தவிக்கிறது சென்னை!

DMK president M.K. Stalin visited flood-affected neighborhoods across Chennai for the third consecutive day following Cyclone Nivar, inspecting inundated residential streets and distributing relief packets to marooned families. Stalin observed that due to an utter lack of administrative preparedness and deficient stormwater drainage maintenance, the metropolitan city struggled to cope even with moderate rainfall. He sharply criticized Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami for claiming empty achievements through television press briefings while common citizens remained trapped inside waterlogged homes without drinking water or electricity.
Stalin demanded that the state government deploy high-capacity dewatering pumps, deploy civic machinery immediately, and drain stagnant floodwaters from low-lying residential settlements without further delay. He pointed out that prolonged waterlogging creates severe hygiene hazards and triggers the rapid spread of monsoon illnesses among children and senior citizens. Stalin directed DMK cadres and ward representatives to remain stationed on the ground, distributing drinking water, cooked food, and primary medicines to affected residents.
Constituency residents welcomed Stalin's sustained field presence and immediate humanitarian assistance. Stalin reiterated that accountable disaster management demands swift executive action rather than cosmetic public relations.
