DMK president M.K. Stalin urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to immediately initiate direct and unconditional negotiations with protesting agricultural producers demonstrating on the highways surrounding New Delhi under the Speak Up For Farmers movement. Stalin emphasized that cultivating farmers from Punjab, Haryana, and across the country converged on the national capital because they clearly understood the deceptive central strategy of dismantling minimum support prices, ending free agricultural electricity, and surrendering farming livelihoods to private corporate conglomerates. He condemned the central government for deploying water cannons and tear gas against peaceful citizens.

Stalin pointed out that agriculture forms the essential backbone of India's national sovereignty and rural economy. Dismissing the legitimate concerns of hundreds of thousands of farmers as politically motivated or misled displays deep disrespect toward the food providers of the country. Stalin demanded that the Union government respect democratic conventions, listen attentively to farmer representatives, and withdraw the three contentious agricultural enactments without further delay.

The call resonated across agricultural associations and progressive political parties throughout Tamil Nadu. Stalin reaffirmed that the DMK will continuously champion peasant rights and agricultural self-reliance.
