DMK president M.K. Stalin distributed emergency humanitarian relief supplies to families in cyclone-inundated settlements across Cuddalore district immediately after leading a major farmers demonstration in Salem. Stalin observed widespread devastation caused by stagnating floodwaters, severed rural roadways, and submerged agricultural crops, which severely disrupted daily life for thousands of rural households. He oversaw the distribution of essential grocery packages, clothing, bedsheets, and dry food items to affected residents, reaffirming that the DMK remains committed to serving vulnerable citizens directly in times of distress.
Stalin announced that he would continue his on-ground relief operations over the following days with visits across flood-battered Nagapattinam and Thiruvarur districts. He condemned the ruling AIADMK government's administrative complacency, pointing out that municipal and revenue authorities had failed to drain stagnant water or restore connectivity in interior rural hamlets. Stalin instructed grassroots party workers to operate community relief kitchens and assist stranded villagers until normal living conditions are restored across all impacted areas.
The affected rural communities expressed gratitude for Stalin's prompt humanitarian presence. Stalin emphasized that genuine political leadership requires working continuously beside people during severe environmental crises and unprecedented rural hardship.
