DMK president M.K. Stalin criticized the AIADMK administration for deliberately undermining the twenty percent reservation for Tamil-medium educated candidates in state public recruitment. Citing the Sub-Inspector recruitment examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board for 969 vacancies, Stalin revealed that 196 Tamil-medium youth were entitled to selection under the statutory quota instituted during previous DMK governance. Instead, procedural irregularities and administrative indifference resulted in Tamil-medium aspirants being deprived of their legitimate employment opportunities.
Stalin characterized this denial as a grave betrayal of rural youth who completed their education in government Tamil-medium schools. He asserted that the Persons Studied in Tamil Medium reservation policy was pioneered under Dravidian governance to ensure social mobility and employment security for candidates from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Stalin demanded that the state recruitment board rectify the selection list immediately and mandate strict compliance with the twenty percent statutory quota across all upcoming police, fire service, and prison department selections.
The timely intervention won vigorous endorsement from student federations, Tamil language scholars, and job aspirants across the state. Stalin pledged that an incoming DMK government will strictly enforce reservation quotas to protect Tamil-medium graduates.
