'குப்பை கொட்டவும் வரி' அறிவிப்பை ரத்து செய்யாவிட்டால், கழக ஆட்சி செய்யும் என்றேன். வாபஸ் பெற்றார் @SPVelumanicbe

DMK president M.K. Stalin highlighted two major policy rollbacks forced upon the AIADMK administration by resolute opposition intervention and widespread public resistance. Stalin pointed out that following his firm warning to organize statewide protests, Electricity Minister P. Thangamani revoked moves to privatize key operational functions within the state electricity utility. Similarly, Municipal Administration Minister S.P. Velumani rescinded an arbitrary municipal order levying garbage collection fees on households and commercial establishments after Stalin pledged that an incoming DMK administration would immediately annul the tax.
Invoking the classical wisdom of Thirukkural regarding foresight before action, Stalin questioned why the state executive persistently introduced ill-conceived, punitive measures without consulting citizens or calculating their economic impact. He stressed that administering public utilities requires empathy, especially when working families and small merchants were struggling to recover from pandemic-induced income shocks. Stalin emphasized that the DMK vigilance continues to shield ordinary citizens from arbitrary administrative extortion even while serving in the legislative opposition.
The successful rollbacks were warmly welcomed by electricity worker unions, trade associations, and municipal residents across Tamil Nadu. Stalin reaffirmed that responsive governance must prioritize civic welfare above bureaucratic arrogance.
