கடன் தள்ளுபடி, இலவச மின்சாரம் என விவசாயிகளைக் காப்பதில் முதல் மாநிலமான தமிழ்நாடு இனியும் அமைதி காக்கலாமா?

DMK president M.K. Stalin demanded that Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami immediately convene a special session of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly to adopt an official resolution rejecting the Union government contentious agricultural reform legislations. Stalin pointed out that following Punjab, the Kerala Legislative Assembly had unanimously passed a resolution opposing the central farm laws, demonstrating exemplary federal leadership in safeguarding agrarian livelihoods against corporate market intrusion.
Stalin highlighted that Tamil Nadu has historically pioneered agrarian welfare measures, having introduced revolutionary policies such as comprehensive agricultural loan waivers and free electricity for farming under previous DMK administrations. He questioned why the incumbent AIADMK government remained completely silent and inactive while farmers across India waged relentless protests along the borders of the national capital.
Stalin charged that the ruling regime silence stemmed from political subservience to the BJP-led central government, compromising state agrarian interests for partisan convenience. He insisted that the Tamil Nadu government must fulfill its constitutional duty by convening the state legislature without delay. Adopting a formal legislative resolution, he argued, is imperative to defend state farmers rights and protect regional agricultural security.
