DMK president M.K. Stalin conducted a well-attended Makkal Grama Sabha village assembly at Vellode panchayat in Erode West assembly constituency. Organized under the statewide banner We Reject ADMK, the outreach initiative enabled local residents, turmeric farmers, powerloom weavers, and women to communicate their pressing concerns directly to opposition leadership. The gathering highlighted extensive public dissatisfaction with bureaucratic inertia and infrastructural neglect under the AIADMK administration.

Community members submitted representations outlining urgent local needs, including contaminated groundwater sources, inadequate wastewater management, damaged rural link roads, and irregular supply of agricultural power. Stalin interacted directly with petitioners, assuring them that every submitted grievance will be preserved for rapid resolution once the DMK assumes governmental office. He criticized the incumbent legislative leadership in the western region for failing to deliver basic civic amenities to rural villages.

Stalin emphasized that true democratic governance begins by listening to the authentic voices of rural citizens. He pledged that a future DMK government will modernize regional drainage networks, support the local agrarian economy, and implement a time-bound administrative mechanism to resolve long-standing community challenges across Erode West.
