DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed an energetic Makkal Grama Sabha village assembly held at V. Kuppuchipalayam panchayat in Karur assembly constituency. The outreach interaction took place under the DMK statewide campaign We Reject ADMK, which aims to provide a direct forum for grassroots citizens to articulate community grievances neglected by the ruling establishment. A substantial gathering of agriculturalists, textile weavers, and village residents attended the assembly to present written petitions and discuss local developmental priorities.

During the meeting, residents voiced serious concerns regarding inadequate municipal drinking water supply, poor village road connectivity, unaddressed drainage problems, and the lack of basic healthcare amenities in rural hamlets. Stalin listened attentively to the representations, ensuring that each grievance was cataloged for systematic administrative redressal. He criticized the local administration for indifference toward public welfare while prioritizing the financial interests of ministerial contractors.

Stalin affirmed that participatory governance remains central to the DMK democratic mission. He assured the residents of Karur that an incoming DMK administration will systematically resolve their civic grievances, upgrade rural amenities, and restore responsive, accountable public administration across the district.
