DMK president M.K. Stalin reported that the statewide anti-incumbency slogan We Reject ADMK resonated with intense public energy during Makkal Grama Sabha assemblies held across Tiruvarur and Cuddalore districts. Stalin observed that thousands of rural citizens, agricultural laborers, and women attended the community meetings to voice deep discontent over pervasive administrative corruption, stalled civic works, and acute economic distress. He pointed out that the popular mood reflected a widespread determination to remove the ruling regime.
Stalin specifically noted that local anger was simmering against Food Minister R. Kamaraj in Tiruvarur and Industries Minister M.C. Sampath in Cuddalore. Residents in these constituencies reported chronic neglect of agricultural irrigation networks, poor road maintenance, irregular ration distribution, and inadequate employment opportunities. Stalin asserted that elected ministers who ignored the everyday hardships of their constituents will face decisive political rejection when voters cast their ballots in the forthcoming assembly elections.
Stalin concluded that the massive participation of rural citizens in the DMK outreach assemblies signals an inevitable democratic transition. He pledged that a future DMK government will address localized agrarian grievances and rebuild transparent local governance across every constituency.
