DMK president M.K. Stalin declared that the investigation into the horrific Pollachi sexual assault and blackmail scandal must not be prematurely closed following the arrest of lower-level AIADMK functionaries. Stalin asserted that justice for hundreds of victimized women cannot be achieved while influential political figures who allegedly patronized and shielded the predatory network remain outside the ambit of criminal prosecution. He accused the ruling establishment of systematically diluting police action to protect prominent party affiliates.

To demand the immediate arrest and interrogation of all high-level persons connected to the crimes, Stalin announced a massive demonstration in Pollachi organized by the DMK Women Wing. The protest was scheduled for the morning of January 10 under the leadership of DMK Women Wing State Secretary and Member of Parliament Kanimozhi Karunanidhi.

Stalin emphasized that the physical safety, personal dignity, and constitutional rights of women in Tamil Nadu are non-negotiable societal imperatives that the state must fiercely safeguard. He affirmed that the DMK will wage an unyielding public and legal battle until every single offender and patron involved in the Pollachi atrocities faces rigorous legal accountability and punishment under the law.
