DMK president M.K. Stalin leveled serious corruption allegations against the AIADMK administration regarding the procurement and distribution of free laptops intended for school and college students. Stalin charged that the state government knowingly facilitated an illegal profit of 392 crore rupees to a Chinese manufacturer despite possessing prior knowledge that the supplied electronic devices were substandard in quality and specifications. He characterized the fraudulent transaction as daylight robbery of the state exchequer at the expense of students educational advancement.

Stalin pointed out that educational technology schemes funded by taxpayers are meant to bridge the digital divide for underprivileged youth. Instead, corrupt procurement arrangements compromised hardware quality, leaving thousands of students with malfunctioning devices unable to support digital learning. He demanded that the state government immediately blacklist the implicated vendor, terminate pending contracts, and initiate stringent legal recovery proceedings to impose heavy financial penalties.

Stalin affirmed that an incoming DMK administration will institute a transparent investigation into all procurement irregularities executed under the Free Laptop Scheme. He pledged that public funds allocated for education will be strictly protected from bureaucratic malfeasance and political kickbacks.
