DMK president M.K. Stalin livestreamed a participatory Makkal Ward Sabha interaction from the Royapuram assembly constituency in North Chennai. The public outreach meeting formed part of the DMK statewide grassroots initiative to engage directly with urban communities, bypass bureaucratic intermediaries, and listen to authentic public grievances. A large number of local residents, small business operators, and women attended the session to voice their longstanding concerns regarding urban municipal decay and inadequate basic public services.

During the open assembly, residents presented representations highlighting acute issues including irregular piped drinking water distribution, unmaintained sewage disposal networks, poor road surfaces, and insufficient public healthcare clinics. Stalin listened attentively to the petitions, documenting specific neighborhood requirements for administrative action. He criticized the ruling dispensation for neglecting the infrastructure needs of historic North Chennai localities while promoting cosmetic developmental claims.

Stalin assured attendees that an incoming DMK administration will prioritize urban infrastructure rejuvenation and time-bound grievance resolution. He reiterated his commitment to establishing transparent municipal administration where citizens have a direct voice in budgetary allocations and local civic improvements, ensuring North Chennai receives equitable development.
