DMK president M.K. Stalin condemned the aggressive and arrogant behavior of Health Minister C. Vijayabaskar, who threw away a Sun News television microphone during an official press conference. Stalin described the minister petulant action as a blatant display of administrative hubris and intolerance toward legitimate journalistic questioning. He pointed out that democratic accountability requires public officials, especially cabinet ministers, to answer probing questions from media representatives regarding governmental performance and public health concerns.

Stalin observed that intimidating independent media channels and exhibiting undisguised contempt toward journalists have become habitual traits of ministers under the AIADMK administration. He remarked that when elected officials react to journalistic inquiry with hostility and violence, it demonstrates their fear of public scrutiny and guilty conscience over administrative corruption. Stalin declared that an administration that disrespects democratic fourth-estate institutions has lost its moral authority to continue in office.

Stalin affirmed that the time is rapidly approaching when the citizens of Tamil Nadu will throw away the entire corrupt AIADMK cabinet at the ballot box. He emphasized that the electorate democratic verdict in the forthcoming assembly elections will decisively end such arrogance.
