DMK president M.K. Stalin celebrated Samathuva Pongal alongside agriculturalists and village residents at Natham Panchayat in Tiruvallur district. Participating in the traditional harvest rituals, Stalin cooked sweet pongal in earthen pots alongside local cultivating families, sharing festival greetings and honoring the indispensable contribution of farmers to state food security. He commended the tireless dedication of the peasantry, affirming that agriculture constitutes the lifeblood of Tamil Nadu society.
Addressing the gathering, Stalin discussed the ongoing nationwide struggle against the Union government three contentious farm legislations. He noted that the interim stay granted by the Supreme Court represented only a temporary relief, not the ultimate resolution sought by cultivators. Stalin declared that permanent victory will be achieved only when the central government unconditionally repeals all three laws. He pledged that the DMK will persistently struggle alongside agrarian organizations until peasant sovereignty is fully secured across India.
The celebratory event highlighted the deep, organic bond between the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and rural farming communities. Stalin concluded by invoking the traditional hope that Thai brings decisive solutions, reaffirming his dedication to peasant welfare and agricultural dignity.
