DMK president M.K. Stalin visited his home constituency of Kolathur to inspect local community infrastructure and inaugurate vital healthcare development works. During the constituency tour, Stalin laid foundation stones for modernizing the local child welfare center and constructing additional inpatient and outpatient consultation rooms at the primary health center. The healthcare expansion aims to enhance maternal care, provide upgraded pediatric diagnostic services, and reduce crowding at tertiary public hospitals in Chennai.
Alongside the infrastructural groundbreaking ceremonies, Stalin distributed educational and livelihood welfare assistance directly to one hundred and six selected beneficiaries, including school students, college undergraduates, and elderly residents. The aid included academic study materials, financial stipends, and essential appliances designed to support economically vulnerable families. Stalin interacted warmly with neighborhood residents, reviewing civic amenities, examining water drainage channels, and listening to local representations regarding water supply and road repairs.
The visit demonstrated Stalin enduring commitment to continuous constituency engagement and public health development. He affirmed that accessible, high-quality primary healthcare remains a central priority of Dravidian governance, promising state-level healthcare modernization when the DMK assumes administrative office in Tamil Nadu.
