DMK president M.K. Stalin highlighted the intense public discontent directed against the ruling AIADMK establishment during Makkal Grama Sabha meetings held across Tamil Nadu. Stalin noted that deep popular anger was particularly palpable even within constituencies represented by Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and senior cabinet ministers. He stated that citizens in rural panchayats openly condemned rampant corruption, power squabbles, and absolute subservience to central political masters that crippled state autonomy.
Stalin observed that grassroots families were eager to express their disillusionment with unfulfilled promises, soaring commodity prices, rural unemployment, and crumbling public amenities across village settlements. He emphasized that the We Reject ADMK resolution passed by millions of villagers across thousands of panchayats was not a mere partisan slogan, but an authentic declaration of popular resistance and collective determination for systemic change.
Stalin affirmed that the resounding success of the Grama Sabha meetings clearly foreshadows the resurgence of the Rising Sun in the forthcoming assembly elections. He reiterated that a DMK administration will restore administrative dignity, fiscal stability, social harmony, and public welfare across Tamil Nadu through inclusive governance and dedicated service.
