DMK president M.K. Stalin paid reverent homage to Arignar C.N. Annadurai, former Chief Minister and founder of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, on his death anniversary. Describing Anna as the beloved elder brother of Mother Tamil Nadu and the ideological mentor of M. Karunanidhi, Stalin remarked that the towering statesman ideas remain permanently etched in the collective consciousness of the Tamil people. He recalled Anna unyielding devotion to language rights, state autonomy, rationalist thought, and the self-respect movement.
Stalin administered a solemn pledge to party cadres and the public, resolving to form a progressive government rooted in Anna ideals within three months following the legislative assembly elections. He stated that the incoming administration would fiercely protect the language, race, and territorial rights of Tamil Nadu against political subjugation and cultural encroachment. Stalin emphasized that restoring the dignity and constitutional autonomy of the state constitutes the highest tribute the Dravidian movement can offer to Anna enduring legacy.
The moving tribute resonated deeply among millions of party workers across Tamil Nadu. Stalin reaffirmed his dedication to carrying forward the historic Dravidian mission of social justice and regional resurgence.
