DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed massive gatherings during his Ungal Thogaiyil Stalin campaign, asserting that the tremendous public turnout demonstrated citizens determination to defeat the ruling AIADMK regime. Stalin characterized the incumbent administration as a half-AIADMK and half-BJP government that consistently compromised Tamil Nadu interests. He cited the state leadership surrender on key regional priorities, including the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, the release of the seven Rajiv Gandhi assassination convicts, and state financial rights.
Stalin highlighted that Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and his ministerial colleagues remained in power only by obtaining judicial stays against corruption inquiries initiated by investigative agencies. He argued that a government clinging to office through legal maneuvers had lost all moral authority to govern the state. Stalin declared that the enthusiasm shown by ordinary citizens attending outreach events across southern districts confirmed widespread public revulsion toward administrative corruption and subservience to central dictates.
The campaign address energized party cadre and alliance organizations throughout the region. Stalin reaffirmed that an incoming DMK government would restore regional self-respect, uphold social justice, and ensure legal accountability for administrative misconduct.
