DMK president M.K. Stalin visited his home constituency of Kolathur in Chennai, distributing vital educational supplies, financial aid, and welfare assistance to students, youth, and local residents. Highlighting the urgent necessity of equipping young people with practical career competencies, Stalin announced that upon assuming office, a DMK government would establish modern skill development centers modeled on the Anitha Achievers Academy across every single district of Tamil Nadu.
Stalin explained that the Anitha Achievers Academy had demonstrated tremendous practical success in Kolathur by providing free coaching in computer programming, spoken English, competitive examinations, and soft skills to underprivileged youth. He stressed that formal collegiate education alone was insufficient in today competitive globalized economy, necessitating comprehensive state-sponsored skill development initiatives to ensure that young graduates secured lucrative employment opportunities. Stalin asserted that establishing such academies statewide would empower youth from marginalized backgrounds to achieve upward economic mobility.
The policy announcement was widely welcomed by educationists, student associations, and youth across Tamil Nadu. Stalin reaffirmed his dedication to expanding educational infrastructure, fostering youth talent, and generating meaningful employment avenues throughout the entire state.
