கச்சா எண்ணெய் விலை குறைந்தாலும் இங்கு எரிபொருள் விலை ஏறுகிறது!
மக்கள் சுமையைக் குறைக்க வேண்டியதே ஆள்வோரின் பொறுப்பு.

DMK president M.K. Stalin strongly criticized both the Union and Tamil Nadu governments for relentlessly increasing petrol and diesel prices at a time when ordinary families were still reeling from the devastating economic impact of Covid-19 lockdowns. Stalin remarked that while the destructive flames of pandemic distress had not even subsided, the ruling regimes were pouring the fuel of price hikes onto the suffering public. He condemned the unconscionable burden placed on working households.
Stalin pointed out that domestic fuel prices continued to climb steeply despite international crude oil prices remaining substantially lower than peak global levels. He stated that it was the primary constitutional duty of rulers to reduce the economic hardships of citizens rather than squeezing working families through punitive indirect taxes and cascading cess levies. Stalin demanded that both Union and state administrations reduce excise duties and value-added taxes immediately to curb inflation and provide tangible financial breathing room to transport operators, small traders, and daily wage earners.
The call for urgent fuel tax cuts received strong support from consumer groups across Tamil Nadu. Stalin reaffirmed the DMK commitment to advocating for fair consumer pricing and compassionate economic governance.
