DMK president M.K. Stalin affirmed that the coalition led by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam was not merely an opportunistic electoral arrangement, but a deep ideological partnership committed to protecting Tamil Nadu social fabric. Speaking to cadres and alliance leaders, Stalin invoked the progressive legacy of social reformers and statesmen including Thanthai Periyar, Arignar Anna, Comrade P. Jeevanandham, Perunthalaivar K. Kamarajar, and Muthamizharignar M. Karunanidhi. He declared that Tamil Nadu unique cultural and political identity was built upon self-respect, rationalism, language rights, and social justice.
Stalin criticized the ruling AIADMK for functioning as a subservient partner to the Bharatiya Janata Party, allowing centralizing forces to erode state autonomy and regional pride. He asserted that the upcoming 2021 assembly election presented a decisive democratic opportunity to teach a stern political lesson to both the servile state leadership and the sectarian forces seeking a foothold in the state. Stalin called upon democratic progressives across all sectors to unite under the secular alliance banner.
The firm ideological assertion resonated strongly among democratic organizations across Tamil Nadu. Stalin reaffirmed that political integrity and social justice would triumph over reactionary forces.
