DMK president M.K. Stalin conducted an extensive public hearing in Erode North district on February 22, 2021, under the banner of the Ungal Thoguthiyil Stalin campaign. A massive gathering of textile weavers, agricultural cultivators, turmeric farmers, small industrial entrepreneurs, and rural women converged to share grievances concerning systemic administrative neglect. Petitioners highlighted severe regional issues, including untreated industrial effluent pollution in local watercourses, lack of minimum support prices for turmeric crops, delay in civic amenities, and skyrocketing raw material costs for weaving units.

Stalin listened intently to dozens of citizens who took the microphone to narrate their hardships, personally receiving their written petitions on stage. He criticized the local AIADMK ministers for amassing illicit wealth while leaving the prosperous Kongu agricultural and industrial belt in stagnation and distress. Stalin gave his firm personal commitment that every representation received would be digitized and resolved under a dedicated chief ministerial task force within one hundred days of forming the DMK government.
