DMK president M.K. Stalin strongly condemned the AIADMK state government on February 28, 2021, for failing to implement its own official order regulating tuition fees at Rajah Muthiah Medical College in Chidambaram. Stalin highlighted that following sustained protests by medical and dental students demanding parity with state-run institutions, the government had issued an order declaring that standard government college fees would apply. However, college authorities continued to extort exorbitant private fees from students, forcing distressed scholars back onto the agitation path.

Stalin criticized the administration for treating its own governmental orders with utter contempt, describing the regime as deceitful and indifferent to student welfare. He noted that students from humble rural and middle-class backgrounds were enduring severe financial anxiety due to administrative dishonesty and bureaucratic inaction. Stalin emphasized that healthcare education in public universities must remain affordable and accessible rather than functioning as a commercial profit center that penalizes deserving scholars.

Expressing steadfast solidarity with the protesting students and their families, Stalin demanded that the government immediately enforce fee parity without bureaucratic excuses. He assured students that an incoming DMK government would resolve their grievances decisively and protect affordable public education.
