DMK president M.K. Stalin delivered a scathing critique of the ruling dispensation on February 28, 2021, during his Ungal Thoguthiyil Stalin campaign tour. Stalin asserted that Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam had hollowed out the AIADMK organization like destructive termites. He remarked that he required no extraordinary political maneuvering to defeat the ruling regime, as its own internal decay, pervasive corruption, and subservience to the Union government would ensure its inevitable collapse at the ballot box.
Stalin accused Palaniswami of staging an insincere social justice drama ahead of the assembly election to mislead backward communities. He pointed out that the AIADMK administration had repeatedly failed to defend 69 percent reservation quotas, watched silently while OBC rights in national medical admissions were diluted, and surrendered vital state rights under federal pressure. Stalin declared that the Dravidian movement was founded on genuine social emancipation and equitable affirmative action, not deceptive electoral expedients designed to retain political power.
The public gathering responded with overwhelming support across the constituency. Stalin uncompromising defense of backward and most backward class entitlements solidified the secular alliance standing as the authentic custodian of Dravidian social justice.
