Continuing the revered political traditions of the Dravidian movement, DMK president M.K. Stalin visited the memorials of party stalwarts on Marina Beach in Chennai on March 13, 2021. Before officially releasing the DMK manifesto for the 2021 legislative assembly elections, Stalin placed the foundational policy document at the resting places of DMK founder C.N. Annadurai and former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi. Accompanied by senior party leaders, Stalin paid solemn floral tributes, seeking ideological inspiration and blessings from the iconic mentors whose policies shaped modern Tamil Nadu.

Stalin stated that dedicating the manifesto at the memorials symbolized a sacred pledge to uphold the principles of self-respect, federalism, language rights, and egalitarian welfare championed by Anna and Kalaignar. He affirmed that the 2021 manifesto was conceived to continue their historic mission of uplifting backward, Dalit, and marginalized communities while driving comprehensive industrial and agricultural growth. Stalin underscored that true respect for foundational leaders lay in unwavering fidelity to public service and the welfare of ordinary citizens.
