Editorial context

Unveiling a comprehensive blueprint for state governance, DMK president M.K. Stalin formally released the party election manifesto for the 2021 Tamil Nadu legislative assembly elections on March 13, 2021. Presenting the 505-point document during a live broadcast, Stalin hailed the manifesto as the true hero of the electoral arena, designed to rescue Tamil Nadu from administrative inertia and usher shared prosperity across the state. The manifesto covered detailed policy roadmaps spanning economic growth, agricultural profitability, education, healthcare, and social justice.

Among the central commitments, Stalin announced a monthly basic income right of Rs 1,000 for women heads of families, reduction of petrol and diesel prices by Rs 5 and Rs 4 per litre respectively, and a Rs 100 subsidy per cooking gas cylinder. He also pledged to enact a law mandating 75 percent employment for local Tamils in state industries, create 10 lakh jobs annually, waive student educational loans, and legally challenge the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.

The manifesto launch was received with widespread enthusiasm by workers, farmers, women, and youth throughout Tamil Nadu. Stalin forward-looking policy vision established the DMK as the definitive political benchmark for progressive, people-centred governance.

This is an initiative of unofficial DMK and Dravidian Ideology supporter, a fan of Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna and Kalaignar — not affiliated with any official DMK party or persons.
