DMK president M.K. Stalin toured the northern agrarian heartland on March 25, 2021, addressing massive gatherings across Gingee, Mailam, and Tindivanam constituencies in Villupuram district. Stalin appealed to rural voters to cast their ballots for the DMK alliance, pledging that his administration would prioritize the revitalization of rural livelihoods, enhance agricultural infrastructure, and create localized employment opportunities for youth who were previously forced to migrate to distant cities for work.

Focusing on agrarian priorities, Stalin committed to desilting local irrigation tanks, restoring feeding channels connected to the Varahanadhi and Sankarabarani river basins, and ensuring uninterrupted three-phase free electricity for farm pump sets. He highlighted the need to establish agro-processing centres and cold storage units in Tindivanam to help groundnut and vegetable growers obtain remunerative prices. Additionally, Stalin promised to upgrade local government hospitals and construct modern community halls for underserved rural settlements across the district.
