Electrifying central Chennai dense commercial and residential neighborhoods, DMK president M.K. Stalin conducted an extensive election campaign through Mylapore, T. Nagar, and Thousand Lights constituencies on April 1, 2021. Stalin appealed to citizens to elect Secular Progressive Alliance nominees with sweeping majorities, pointing out that Chennai historic urban core required modern administrative vision, efficient civic management, and sustained public investments to maintain its status as South India premier metropolis.

Stalin outlined targeted municipal solutions for central Chennai chronic problems, promising to resolve severe parking bottlenecks in commercial shopping districts, rehabilitate age-old sewerage networks, and build well-equipped government hospitals with specialized geriatric and maternal care facilities. He reiterated his firm commitment to completing delayed stormwater canal dredging projects to safeguard residential streets in Mylapore and Thousand Lights from flash flooding during cyclones. Stalin emphasized that planned urban growth must preserve historic heritage while enhancing daily livability for all residents.

Stalin intimate familiarity with Chennai civic fabric drew warm cheers from thousands of shopkeepers, salaried professionals, and traditional artisans lining the campaign routes. His energetic engagement demonstrated a thoughtful urban blueprint, reinforcing strong public faith in his transformative developmental leadership.
