Executing war-footing healthcare augmentation across western Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin conducted comprehensive on-site inspections of two major emergency Covid-19 treatment centers in Coimbatore. Stalin inspected the sprawling trade center at CODISSIA, where the administration added 820 specialized hospital beds equipped with direct oxygen supply pipelines, and visited Kumaraguru College of Technology, which was rapidly repurposed into a modern 360-bed medical care facility.
Together adding 1,180 beds to the industrial city healthcare capacity, these large-scale facilities were established to provide immediate clinical triaging, oxygen stabilization, and treatment for moderate viral cases. The Chief Minister reviewed medical staffing, pharmaceutical inventories, and continuous liquid oxygen supply chains with senior doctors and district administrators. Stalin affirmed that the government of Tamil Nadu is executing wartime operations to defeat the contagion, deploying specialized resources to Coimbatore and guaranteeing that no patient is turned away from medical care.
Stalin direct field oversight provided immense confidence to citizens and frontline medical workers in Coimbatore. By rapidly establishing over a thousand specialized treatment beds, his administration prevented hospital gridlock and safeguarded public health across western industrial districts.
