Affirming his dual responsibility as head of the state administration and leader of a mass socio-political movement, DMK President and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin addressed a special Letter to Brethren to party cadres statewide. While stating that he is working continuously around the clock as Chief Minister to sever the viral transmission chain through scientific governance, Stalin called upon millions of party workers to become active humanitarian soldiers in protecting vulnerable citizens from hunger during the strict lockdown.
The Chief Minister directed party functionaries and grassroots volunteers to revive and expand the party acclaimed Ondrinaivom Vaa community relief framework. Stalin instructed cadres to identify destitute individuals, migrant laborers, daily wage earners, and elderly residents deprived of cooked meals, quietly delivering wholesome food, drinking water, and essential medicines directly to their doorsteps. He emphasized that all relief activities must strictly adhere to physical distancing protocols, avoiding crowds or publicity, and embodying the selfless Dravidian ideal of compassionate community service.
Stalin call mobilized widespread grassroots solidarity, transforming party infrastructure into an expansive civic safety net. By directing political cadres toward hunger alleviation, his leadership ensured essential sustenance reached marginalized populations during the pandemic crisis.
