Taking direct charge of public health interventions in western Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated a newly constructed 306-bed Covid-19 care center established within the Kadri Mills complex in Coimbatore. Constructed rapidly to meet surging clinical requirements among industrial workers and urban residents, the facility was equipped with continuous oxygen delivery lines, emergency stabilization bays, round-the-clock medical personnel, and comprehensive diagnostic amenities.
Following an inspection of the treatment wards, Stalin issued clear administrative directives to district collectors and health administrators across the western belt, ordering aggressive expansion of hospital beds, oxygen concentrator banks, and localized triage centers. The Chief Minister declared that the government of Tamil Nadu is working at full throttle to contain the contagion, dispatching additional consignments of medicines, Remdesivir vials, and clinical oxygen directly to Coimbatore. He urged healthcare teams to maintain unflagging determination, assuring that all necessary fiscal and infrastructural assistance will be extended continuously.
Stalin on-site leadership provided immense reassurance to the people of Coimbatore during an intense epidemiological surge. By swiftly establishing hundreds of specialized beds and coordinating regional containment efforts, his administration mitigated hospital overcrowding and safeguarded public health across western industrial districts.
