Intensifying healthcare interventions across western industrial districts experiencing elevated infection numbers, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin conducted an extensive inspection tour of Erode and Tiruppur districts. Stalin inaugurated newly established specialized Covid care centers and added hundreds of oxygen-supported beds to government hospitals in both districts, substantially expanding clinical treatment capacity for textile and garment workers.
To overcome severe human resource shortages, the Chief Minister personally handed over temporary appointment orders to dozens of newly recruited doctors, staff nurses, and laboratory technicians recruited on an emergency basis to manage intensive care blocks. Additionally, Stalin launched innovative Car Ambulance services, deploying modified air-conditioned vehicles fitted with oxygen cylinders to navigate narrow industrial streets, enabling rapid, free transportation of patients from congested urban tenements to hospitals without delay. Stalin affirmed that the government is according top priority and dedicated funding to high-caseload districts.
Stalin comprehensive healthcare augmentation provided timely relief to the vibrant industrial hubs of the Kongu region. By deploying localized ambulances, additional clinical staff, and oxygen beds, his administration prevented hospital congestion and delivered prompt medical attention to thousands of workers.
