Stalin dispatched an urgent official letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, pressing for the swift completion and immediate operationalization of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences at Thoppur in Madurai district. Stalin pointed out that although the foundation stone was laid years ago, physical construction progress had lagged disappointingly behind similar central healthcare institutes sanctioned in other parts of the country.

The Chief Minister conveyed the deep anxiety of southern district residents, who eagerly awaited the modern multi-specialty clinical facilities, advanced tertiary care, and high-quality medical education promised by the premier central institute.
