Stalin expressed heartfelt appreciation and sincere gratitude to generous citizens, corporate philanthropists, non-resident Tamils, and charitable trusts who contributed 280.20 crore rupees to the Chief Minister Public Relief Fund to bolster state pandemic management. Stalin emphasized that every contributed rupee represents an expression of civic trust and solidarity, assuring absolute financial transparency and meticulous oversight in fund deployment for emergency public healthcare.

Detailing the transparent utilization of relief resources, the Chief Minister announced that while 141.40 crore rupees had already been disbursed for upgrading Covid-19 clinical infrastructure, oxygen supply pipelines, and critical care medicines, a dedicated allocation of 25 crore rupees was sanctioned specifically for procuring specialized antifungal drugs to treat mucormycosis, commonly known as black fungus. Stalin directed public health officials to ensure that life-saving liposomal Amphotericin-B injections and supportive medicines are supplied without shortage to all government medical college hospitals treating post-Covid fungal infections across Tamil Nadu.
