Commemorating the first death anniversary of veteran party leader and Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni legislator J. Anbazhagan, DMK President and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid deeply emotional tributes to the departed stalwart, describing him as a fearless party warrior and beloved brother of his soul. Anbazhagan tragically succumbed to Covid-19 in 2020 while courageously coordinating relief distribution under the party Ondrinaivom Vaa humanitarian initiative during the initial wave.
Stalin observed that Anbazhagan relentless frontline service in defense of ordinary people remains permanently etched in the grateful memory of Tamil society. Characterizing him as a magnificent public servant who sacrificed his own life while delivering food and medicine to vulnerable citizens, Stalin solemnly pledged that the newly elected DMK government would fulfill Anbazhagan noble socio-economic visions through compassionate, dedicated public administration. He exhorted party cadres to emulate Anbazhagan fearless courage, unwavering party loyalty, and tireless commitment to societal welfare.
